We took a moment to ask her a few questions about herself, photography and what inspires her.
LET’S START WITH YOU?
Hi! My name is Christina von Feilitzsch-Hanley, I am originally from Colorado, moved to Germany when I was about 19 where I spent 8 years, with one year during that time living in Sydney with my partner and am now based in Melbourne where I currently work in hospitality. And if you couldn’t already tell I’m also terrible at writing about myself, so I’m going to keep this part short and sweet.
TELL US ABOUT YOUR PHOTOGRAPHY STYLE AND WHERE YOU GET INSPO FROM?
I’d say I have a couple of different styles of photography one being the pictures I take with a subject, the other being a more minimalistic street photography style. I focus a lot on lines and beautiful colours, one of the reasons I love being in Australia, I find so much inspiration just walking through different neighbourhoods. Every house having their own uniqueness and charm, all the different colours and architecture, not to mention all the amazing plants Australia has and just out front peoples yards. I find it all so beautiful and have been feeling very inspired this first year in Melbourne.
ARE YOU WORKING ON ANY CREATIVE PROJECTS NOW?
I am not really working on anything in particular at the moment. But do have a couple of goals for the coming year, the main one is trying to put more time and energy into my photography and trying to find more of my voice with my Photographs.
